This tutorial was originally posted on my old website, Handmade Cuddles.
This is a fun group craft to do with children in the run up to Halloween. And if you make enough of them they make a great window display!
- Black or dark coloured wool
- Black felt
- White felt
- Googly eyes (or use felt)
- Template (at the bottom of this post)
- Pompom maker tool
Make a pompom using the wool. It should be around 5cm in diameter. We have included a template for making your pompom, but you can also use your own tool.
Use the template to cut out wings from the black felt, and teeth from the white felt.
Glue the pompom onto the middle of the wings, and glue the teeth and googly eyes onto the front of the pompom.
We have included three different styles of bat wings in our template, so you can make lots and lots of these flying critters!
